The New Website, and what this means for the future of Rosie Writing Space

If you follow me on social media, or you’re someone I consider a loved one you might have heard that I have a brand new website. If not it’s important that you know that because it’s something that I want to be publically accessible to all of my potential/ current clients, and readers starting now.

My interest in creating a website was largely influenced by a variety of sources that are my ongoing, reference guides whenever I want to learn further tips on getting new clients:

  • The Freelancer , an online magazine by Contently, a startup that connects freelance writers to business owners and editors seeking freelance talent, while providing freelance writers with a free, easy to use tool for creating their public portfolio.  The Freelancer covers a wide variety of topics that relate to freelance writing life: everything from the business aspects, to the personal/interpersonal aspects.
  • Carol Tice’s Blog, Make A Living Writing : a how to guide, and frequently updated news source on literally everything relating to freelance writing
  • Writers In Charge: A helpful resource that provides readers with diverse tips on attracting freelance writing clients, websites that pay their writers, and a variety of freelance writing 101 tips

All of these websites, and all the books I’ve read on freelance writing say the exact same thing: having a website is really, really helpful and honestly, I think they’re right considering that they are all written by people that have provided that there are numerous ways to make a living writing. This blog helped get the word out there about my writing, but I’ve started to realize that having both a blog and a website will help me get increasingly better clients, and higher paying writing projects.

This blog is also my baby. I started it in my late teens, have watched it grow over time, and it taught me a lot about how the blogosphere actually works. Because it’s my baby, and I’m emotionally attached to it Rosie Writing Space is going to continue to my one and only, official blog for a long, long time.

The new website and this blog are now complimentary companions. If you click on my blog’s “how can I help you” tab on the top of the page, below the title, it will direct you to my website. If you click on the word “blog” on my website, or click the “follow me on wordpress” icon it will direct you to this blog. I’m really proud of the website, and glad that it’s now accessible online, and a part of Rosie Writing Space’s future; I designed it myself, with a Weebly template. My friend Krizia, that’s also a talented photographer, took the photo that I used on my website’s home page.

The New Website, and what this means for the future of Rosie Writing Space

I am a freelance writer and editor, and I draw on my experiences as a neurodivergent person to provide advice and create content for disability-friendly organizations. I've worked with Spot App, Uptimize, E-bay, and Saatva Mattress Company. My writing has been featured on Weebly Inspiration Center, The Good Trade, Search Engine Journal, and more. I was diagnosed with dyspraxia when I was four years old. I wrote a book about my disability, "Stumbling through Time and Space: Living life with dyspraxia", available September 2022 through Jessica Kingsley Books. My advocacy efforts are dedicated to furthering a supportive community for neurodiverse people. I am a founding member of the Dyspraxic Alliance and Dyspraxia Magazine Panel Member.
