And so we begin to think: a short poem that I choose for the recent Young Voices Writer's Conference Instant Anthology

And so we begin
 To think of words:
-as clutches,
-as companions,
-as friends.
And so we begin
 To think:
And the world comes to a stop.
Bleeding towards paper:
The words are dynamite on fire.
And so we begin to think:
Those dreams
 Are dreams
 No more,
But those “things”,
Those routines
 Of the every day.
It all begins with a thought,
One thought,
And a sequence of words
Moving quickly:
It begins to grow.
